Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.
This quote from Brian Littrell can show us very effectively how to deal with fear of failure.
No one likes to fail.
It seems though, that people who accept their fear of failure and use it as a catalyst to do their best at any given time are the ones who finally succeed. Whereas those who avoid to feel their fear of failure become annoyingly critical of everyone and everything, but never put themselves out there. They usually get stuck in justifying their behavior with:
"I'm a perfectionist."
When we dare to fail, we allow our inner child to grow up and become more and more mature, wise, strong and discerning. That way we gradually learn that we are not a failure at all, we just experienced the negative emotions that come with having certain expectations and then let the universe guide us into a better direction. The reward is that we feel humble and grateful for the journey of life itself, which is the real success after all, because this deep recognition inside ourselves lasts! Everything else comes and goes.
"I invite you to dare to travel and discover your own journey. Once you start to move into what you have been so afraid of, you’ll find happiness, excitement and liberation. You’ll find the inner strength to make your choices out of wisdom, not out of fear any more and can succeed in anything you set your mind to." -Rita Harrison
